Initial Set-Up Guide

Let’s Get Ready For The Next Bull Run

This Step-By-Step Instruction Guide will take you through the process of setting-up a crypto.com account so you can do the following:

  • Use two factor authentication to protect your account.
  • Deposit & withdraw funds using e-transfers.
  • Buy & sell more than 350 different cryptocurrencies.
  • Safely transfer cryptocurrency to your defi app for safe storage.
  • Participate in new token launches.

This guide will get you to a state of readiness so that when the opportunity presents itself, you will be able to invest with confidence.

Step-By-Step Instructions

The applications in this guide requires a smartphone with an active phone number that can send and receive both SMS text and email messages. The easiest way to use this guide is to have this page open on a computer screen and follow along with your smartphone.

Step 1 – Install Authy by Twillio

If you are already using a 2FA application on your smartphone, go to Step 2. Click HERE for instructions to install and set-up the Authy App.

Step 2 – Install The Crypto.com App

Click HERE for instructions to install and set-up the Crypto.com App.

Step 3 – Enable 2FA On Your Crypto.com App

Click HERE for instructions on how to enable 2FA and add Crypto.com to the Authy App.

Step 4 – Set-Up Your Canadian Dollar Wallet

Click HERE for instructions to install and set-up the Crypto.com App.

Step 5 – Install & Set-Up  Your Defi Wallet

Click HERE for instructions to install and set-up your Defi wallet.

Step 6 – Connect Your Defi Wallet To Your Crypto.com App

Click HERE for instructions to connect your Defi wallet to your Crypto.com App.

Step 7 – Deposit CAD Via Interac

Click HERE for instructions to send funds from your bank account to your Crypto.com App. This step registers your bank account with Crypto.com and and Crypto.com will use this bank account when you request a withdrawal.

Once you have completed the aforementioned steps, you will be ready to buy, & sell digital assets.

Buy Crypto

As long as you have completed the Initial Set-Up, your fiat wallet should be funded and ready to purchase crypto.

  1. Tap the Buy button at the home screen  in your Crypto.com app.
  2. Select the token you want to purchase.
  3. Tap CAD Wallet and blue check mark should appear on the right.
  4. Enter the number of tokens you would like to purchase in the field near the top of the screen.
  5. Tap the Buy Button.
  6. Review the transaction details and click the Confirm Button.

Send Crypto To Defi Wallet

As long as you have completed the Step 6 in the Initial Set-Up gruide, you will be able to quckly send crypto to your Defi wallet for safe storage.

  1. Tap Accounts at the bottom of the home screen in your Crypto.com app.
  2. Tap Crypto Wallet.
  3. Select the token you want to send.
  4. Tap Transfer.
  5. Tap Withdraw.
  6. Tap Crypto.com DeFi Wallet.
  7. Tap Confirm and Withdraw.
  8. Make sure the Cronos network is highlighted.
  9. Enter the number of tokens you would like to send.
  10. Tap the Send Button.
  11. Review the transaction details and if everything looks good, tap the Confirm button.
  12. Tap Send in the SMS field.
  13. Paste the verification code into the SMS field.
  14. Open your Authy app and copy the six digit 2FA code for your Crypto.com account. Make sure you wait until the timer resets tos 30 seconds.
  15. Go back to your Crypto.com app and paste the 2FA code into the 2FA field.
  16. Tap the Continue Button.
